System The
2011 Alamo Disc Series is a series of disc golf tournaments held in the San
Antonio metro area culminating in a series finale in December 2011. Players in each of the tournaments earn
points. After the series finale,
players with the highest point totals earn extra bonus payouts. ·
$2 from each player at each qualifying event goes
towards the series bonus payout at the series finale. ·
The series bonus payout will be distributed by
division & allocated by the percentage of entrants in the qualifying
tournaments. That means if a player
enters the intermediate division in a qualifier, that $2 goes towards to
intermediate division’s series bonus payout at the series finale. If a player enters the open division in a
qualifier, that $2 goes towards the open division’s series bonus payout at
the series finale. ·
The top 5* players in each division using
the Alamo Disc Series Point System will receive payout from the series bonus
payout. *Or 10% of the total unique
entries into a division, whichever is smaller. Point System The
series bonus payout, by divisions, will be awarded to the players who score
the highest number of points. Points are awarded at qualifying events as
follows: ·
50 points for playing or
staffing an event ·
50 points for an Ace
during tournament play ·
1 point for every dollar
in payout Points are awarded at the Series Finale as
follows: ·
100 points for playing or
staffing an event ·
100 points for an Ace
during tournament play ·
2 points for every
dollar in payout |
